Donkee Spinner survives not 1, but 2 hurricanes!

My testimonial is one that even the makers of Donkee spinners are going to find hard to believe. As a 26 year PBA member and 2 time PBA regional champion, I have traveled many miles to bowling events here in the southeastern part of the United States. In 2003 with the many changes in the bowling ball industry, I decided to crack down and buy a bowling ball spinner. After some intense research I went with the 3/4hp 2 speed Donkee ball spinner. Everything went great for 2 years with no owner happier and prouder than I. Then on August 29 2005 Hurricane Katrina caused 15ft of salt water to enter my home. I was one of the unfortunate ones as the water stayed in my home for over 3 weeks, and the day after the water drained from Katrina, Hurricane Rita came by and the Industrial Canal level breeched and put 6ft of water back in my home all over again.

All my power tools along with my Donkee ball spinner were left on the floor in my utility room. The Donkee spinner plastic splash guard was crushed into pieces after removing the washing machine that floated and later fell on top of it, but the spinner was not crushed or damaged. I have yet to replace the splash guard due to not doing any ball resurfacing, but my plans are to buy in the near future.  After gutting our home in the attempt to salvage anything we could, I hauled off my muddy and very rusty power tools, along with my Donkee ball spinner. I then stored them away as I was faced with alot more important things in my life during that time.

Then one day 6 months later I decided to plug everything in and see if anything worked. My cousin and I sat on my Fema trailer steps for the event. I plugged in every power tool and none of them worked. So then I got to the Donkee ball spinner and said to my cousin, you plug this one in. We both laughed for a second or two then he reached down for the ball spinner extention cord. To our surprise we heard a humming noise even though the spinner did not turn. At the very least it was something the power tools did not do. I then said to him lets try spinning the cup by hand. Presto! It just needed a little boost, and then it worked on it's own. Now 3 years later and both speeds on my Donkee ball spinner are still working great. To spite the fact that I have not sent this testmonial in to Donkee until today, I will tell you in the past 3 years of traveling and sharing this story, every person looking to buy a ball spinner has choose a Donkee spinner.

I thought I would just let you know that since we have received the ball spinner on Friday.  Which was sent Ballarat Victoria Australia.  My husband Graeme O'Cononor bowled a 300 on Monday night.  He polished his ball that day.  This is his first 300.  And we are all pretty proud of him.
